Social service agencies with women in charge

Where are our role models?

Women outnumber men in social work school attendance.
Women make up 80% of the social work profession but 80% of leaders in social work are men.

The wage gap exists in social service leadership. According to Crain’s Magazine, in New York City not-for-profits where men earned $100,000, women earned significantly less at $84,000.

We spend so much time advocating for our clients and connecting them to the services they need.  It's time to start advocating for ourselves and connecting and building female social work leadership.

We want to believe that there are agencies who see female social workers as leaders.  We want to learn from the women who have beaten the burnout and odds.
